Registrar Services & UH System Upgrade: Aloha UH West O’ahu campus community, the University of Hawai’i will soon begin a project to upgrade the Banner Student Information System (SIS). To make this transition possible, the SIS and its connected systems (including STAR and Lamakū) will be temporarily unavailable. MyUH will also be replaced with a new interface, Self-Service Banner 9. System Outage will be December 11, 2025 – January 3, 2026. All Registrar services will be temporarily unavailable during the system upgrade.

We provide high quality services including, but not limited to, maintaining the accuracy, integrity and privacy of student academic records, registration, academic transcripts, enrollment and degree verification, transfer credit evaluations and veteran education benefits. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service to all students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community.

Academic Calendar

Registration

Registration will be unavailable Dec. 11 – Jan. 3, 2026. Classes you are already registered or waitlisted for will not be affected. Instructors and departments will also not be able to enter overrides during this time. To complete your Spring 2026 schedule, request any required overrides and register for those courses before Dec. 11. We recommend planning ahead by saving a copy of your STAR GPS class schedule before Dec. 11.

Student Records

Final grades will be available in STAR after the upgrade on Jan. 3, 2026. End-of-semester updates like your academic standing, repeat courses, Dean’s List, failed prerequisites, or planning for Spring 2026, may not be finalized until after the system upgrade. Check STAR for updates on Jan. 3, 2026.

Registrar Forms

To ensure your request is processed prior to the upgrade, submit your request forms by Dec. 8, 2025. After this date, we will begin processing forms after the upgrade is completed (estimated Jan. 3, 2026) and additional processing time will be needed.

Request to add a course after the add period ended.

Petition to earn Language Back credits.

Petition for Leave of Absence

Petition for a one semester leave of absence.

Petition to Graduate in Absentia

Petition to graduate in absentia.
Complete final graduation requirements from an appropriately accredited institution.

Registration and Records Student Appeal

Appeal a course drop/withdrawal or academic standing.

Replacement Diploma

Order a replacement diploma.
Replacement diploma orders are placed in January, June and September and may take 4-6 weeks to process after the order is placed. “Reissued” will be printed on the lower left corner of the diploma.

Revocation of Consent to Disclose Educational Records to Third Party

Request to revoke consent to disclose educational information.

Senior Citizen Visitor Program

Request to participate in regular credit classes.
Available in the fall and spring semesters only.

Student Data Change

Request to change name/chosen name, update address or update phone number.

Transcript Forwarding Request

Request to forward copies of non-UH transcripts to another UH campus.

Veteran Student Change in Enrollment

Request to update certification upon making changes to courses.
