The Disability Services Office at the University of Hawai’i–West Oʻahu is dedicated to providing a supportive environment where students with disabilities (incoming and current students) will be provided with equal access to help students through their academic journey. Our faculty and staff will provide reasonable accommodations that are tailored to each student’s needs with the goal of removing barriers to access to the greatest extent possible.

The Process

Step 2 – Disability Coordinator will send you a confirmation email and next steps.
Step 3 – Meet with Disability Coordinator to engage in the interactive process.
Step 4 – Approved accommodations will be sent to your instructor(s).
Step 5 – Student is required to keep an open line of communication with instructors.

- Meet with Disability Coordinator
- Approved accommodations will be sent to your professor(s).
- Student is responsible for also making arrangements with Professor(s) to discuss accomodations.

Please note that documentation is not needed to start the process in applying for academic accommodations. However, documentation will be needed 30 business days after the completion of the intake meeting.
