Emergency Management is a key function to the safety and security of any campus. UH West O‘ahu approaches emergency preparedness by addressing the five mission areas of prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery. Our Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is a comprehensive plan that addresses these five mission areas and prepares our campus to effectively manage critical incidents.
In the event of an emergency, UH West Oʻahu will provide information about the nature of the incident, how to remain safe, and when status has returned to normal. When appropriate, the University will alert faculty, staff and students via email and/or UH Alert. UH West Oʻahu’s official social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter may be used as well.
