UH West Oʻahu provides a valuable, yet affordable college experience, starting with students in Oʻahu’s diverse Leeward community but extending statewide with distance learning options, including online classes. The University is fully accredited and draws its diverse faculty from across the nation. At the same time the campus is well invested in the local community, whether working on early college programs with area high schools or embracing community partnerships for internships or workforce needs.

Student Success Initiatives
UH West Oʻahu understands that the strength of our institution is measured by the success of our students, with success largely determined by student retention and graduation rates. Our student success initiatives are designed to promote the academic success and degree completion of all students, as well as help contribute to meeting the expectations of the UH System Hawai‘i Graduation Initiative.
Early College Program
The aim of the UH West Oʻahu Early College Program is to increase college and career readiness and cultivate the skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond.

The University of Hawaiʻi – West Oʻahu adheres to UH Board of Regents policies, UH Executive policies, and UH administrative procedures, as well as federal and state laws and rules.
Accreditation
UH West O’ahu is fully accredited by WSCUC, our regional accreditation agency. The WSCUC accreditation process aids institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs and assures the educational community, the general public, and other organizations that an accredited institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness.
