Update on Gradual Reopening of UH West Oʻahu Campus

On Friday, President David Lassner sent an email regarding our UH COVID-19 Fall 2021 reopening plans. First, please continue with your thoughtful transition plans this fall semester and note that we are maintaining all health and safety protocols (Pueo Safety Promise) on campus.

President Lassner’s message provide reaffirmation of student vaccinations, our continuation of out telework procedures, LumiSight procedures and vaccination information. For campus reopening, we continue to prepare our campus for reopening in a manner that provides our students with all the services they need to be successful. This is offered in-person and through a variety of online modalities.

So, a few things to remember:

  • Log into LumiSight prior to coming to campus.
  • Wear your UH ID in plain sight. Lanyards are available – please contact your supervisor or academic adviser.
  • Continue to wear your masks indoors and wearing them outdoors in groups is strongly encouraged.
  • Stay updated on campus reopening and safety procedures by reading the weekly bulletin and reviewing our COVID-19 website.
  • We will soon be posting our updated COVID-Guidelines and an FAQ page that will provide further information about our reopening procedures.
  • Note that we continue to have a strong set of fully online learning options (coursework and programs) as well as a healthy number of fully on-campus classes and hybrid classes. More information about instructional formats should be referred to the Office of Distance Learning, Division Chairs, and your Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics.
  • In addition, all student services are available in both online and in-person formats.

Again, please stay informed by checking the weekly bulletins and our website.
