Update COVID-19

There have been several changes in State of Hawaiʻi regulations as more members of our community are vaccinated. Please pay attention to the news and to our weekly bulletins. A communication from the UH System regarding face covering was sent via email to employees across the entire system, posted on UH news and shared on social media.

We will do our best to reflect these changes on our UH West Oʻahu COVID website and our UH West Oʻahu COVID-19 Guidelines.

Update on Gradual Reopening of UH West Oʻahu Campus

While we are preparing our campus to fully reopen, it is important – if you haven’t already – review the UH System Employee Safety Training videos. There are three short, informational videos. When completed, print your completion certificate and provide a copy to your supervisor. This was shared with all employees Fall 2020, so, some of the regulations have changed but the information is still relevant. Here is the announcement:

“Each campus shall ensure that employees returning and working on their campus have completed online COVID-19 training in accordance with the State of Hawaiʻi Occupational Safety and Health requirements.”

Update on our Campus Work Groups

Our Work Groups are currently on summer break.

Update on Federal Stimulus Funds

Work of the Federal Funding Advisory Counci: The council, in partnership with UH West Oʻahu Executives, forwarded five proposals to be funded. They are currently reviewing another set of proposals. For more information please see these links:
