Update COVID-19
We have no updates at this time but ask that you remain vigilant and aware of your surroundings; maintaining all health and safety protocols. Remember that when you come to the UH West Oʻahu campus you must check into LumiSight UH – see this link for more information. Again, we strongly encourage all faculty and staff to get vaccinated!
Update on Gradual Reopening of UH West Oʻahu Campus
Please check the weekly bulletin over the summer as reopening details “to the public” will be released as decisions are being made. Note that the campus is currently open to faculty, staff, students and guests. If you are bringing guests to campus please see our Visitor Process for clearance forms.
Update on our Campus Work Groups
Business Model and Mindset
The draft business model will be used by the Federal Funding Advisory Council and the Executives to review HEERF investment proposals. For more information contact either Dr. Walter Kahumoku or Faculty Senate Chair Dr. Ed Keaunui.
Student Recruitment & Student Retention
The work group with iVCSA Javinar submitted one proposal for potential HEERF Investment. The Federal Funding Advisory Council and Campus Executive will separately review and recommend to the Chancellor within the next two weeks. For more information contact either iVC Javinar or Instructor Reed Young.
Student Learning
The work group with the OVCAA submitted 26 proposals for potential HEERF Investment. Presented in three tiers, the Federal Funding Advisory Council and Campus Executive will separately review Tier 1 proposals and recommend to the Chancellor within the next two weeks. For more information contact either VC Moniz or Division Chair Mary Heller.
Campus Efficiencies
The work group recently submitted their report of recommendations. The Federal Funding Advisory Council and the Campus Executives will review their recommendations. Note that the recommendations do not request funding but asks the campus to consider opportunities for automation. For more information contact either VC Ishida or Sheri Ching (Business Office).
