Where is UH West Oʻahu located?
The University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu is located in the city of Kapolei on the island of O‘ahu approximately 30 minutes west of the Honolulu International Airport. The address is: 91-1001 Farrington Highway, Kapolei, HI 96707.
What are the directions to campus?
Westbound: Take Exit 3 (Kapolei/ʻEwa). Turn left at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp on to Kualakaʻi Parkway. Get in the right lane and proceed to the third traffic light, which is the intersection of Kualakaʻi Parkway and Farrington Highway. Take a right. From Farrington Highway, proceed down a two-lane entrance road, passing Hawaiʻi Tokai International College on the right. Stay to your right from the turnaround. The parking lot will be on your right. Park anywhere in the lot as long as it's in a designated parking stall.
How much does parking cost?
There is no charge for parking at this time. Visitors and students are allowed to park in designated parking areas on a space-available basis.
Is there bus service to the UH West Oʻahu campus?
TheBus serves the campus with its Route 40, which stops at UH West Oʻahu as it travels between Ala Moana Center and Mākaha Tower. TheBus also operates an express bus service mornings and evenings which serves UH West Oʻahu and includes stops at the Wahiawā, Mililani, and Waipahu transit centers. Is UH West Oʻahu accredited?
UH West Oʻahu is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. After the last WASC Educational Effectiveness Review, UH West Oʻahu was accredited through 2022. Accreditation assures institutions have met high standards of quality and effectiveness.
Is student employment available on campus?
Yes. The campus features two types of employment opportunities: Federal Work-Study Programs available to students who qualify for financial aid as determined through a FAFSA application. On-campus employment is available to students enrolled with at least six credits and in good academic standing. Visit SECE for more information.
