Update on UH-System Budget

Please see UH System Vice President for Budget & Finance Kalbert Young’s presentation to the Board of Regents (starting on page 150) from Thursday, May 20, to better understand the impact of the State Legislature on our budgets.

Update on Federal Stimulus Funds

Work of the Federal Funding Advisory Council: The first set of HEERF investments for summer will be made within the next week. More reviews will be done as soon as determined by the availability of funds.

New UH West Oʻahu weekly newsletter to launch next month

The UH West Oʻahu Communications Department is excited to announce the launch next month of Makahaiwaʻa, a new weekly bulletin that is replacing This Week at UH West Oʻahu. Makahaiwaʻa will be a newsletter for UH West Oʻahu faculty and staff, as well as students. “Makahaiwaʻa,” which translates into “Eyes that follow the canoe,” will feature much of the same content as This Week: events, announcements, and health and wellness updates, along with Chancellor’s Bulletins. Special thank you to IT’s Erin Kim for his help in the creation of this new bulletin!
