This segment of our Developing Successful Presentations series discusses some best practices for building effective teams. Many students dislike team projects and presentations, but that’s because they may not know how to go about building open and communicative professional relationships or setting ground rules and expectations. We provide some tips and resources for creating positive team presentation experiences.
Goals and Objectives
- Select team members who complement one another’s strengths and weaknesses
- Improve team communication
- Utilize team charters to set expectations and lay team ground rules
- Proactively plan ahead and schedule key meetings early on
