ATI - Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
Pre-Admissions Exam for Nursing Pathway Administer at University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu Noʻeau Test Center
TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) a product of Assessment Technologies and is a computerized multiple-choice standardized assessment of the basic academic knowledge in reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage. The outcomes assessed on the exam are those which educators deem most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level skills and abilities of health science field applicants. The goal is to predict those candidates with the highest likelihood of academic success. There are 170 multiple-choice questions and the time limit is 209 minutes. Calculators and phones are not allowed during testing.Test Information

Dates: The ATI-TEAS exam is currently offered on limited dates, click here, for the full list of dates and times..
Times: Appointments are required and will begin no later than 12:00 PM
Test Results: Scores will be available to UH West Oʻahu at no cost. ATI-TEAS scores are valid for (3) years at UH West Oʻahu.
Retest Policy: The exam may be taken no more than (3) times per calendar year, but only the highest set of ATI-TEAS exam scores will be considered for admission. A (30) day wait period is required for any re-test.
Additional Testing Items: The Noʻeau Test Center will provide all testers with scratch paper and pencils. Testers will have access to an on-screen calculator. Personal calculators are not allowed.

CLEP
What is CLEP?
CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) provides students the opportunity to earn college credit by achieving qualifying test scores through a program of exams. Students demonstrate their college-level understanding of a subject by their performance on a subject exam.

CLEP Registration
- To register, please go to clep.collegeboard.org.
- There is an CLEP registration fee. This registration is good for six months and is paid directly to College Board.
- On your scheduled exam date, please bring your printed registration ticket, a valid photo ID, and credit or debit card to pay the $35 Proctor fee to the UHWO Cashier’s Office.

Things to Note
- UH West Oʻahu students may not take a CLEP exam more than once for the same subject during their academic career.
- Students are not allowed to take a CLEP exam in a course in which they have earn any grade except a “W”.
- Students may not take a CLEP exam in a course that they are enrolled in after the add/drop period for that semester.
- If students take a CLEP exam while in violation of any of these conditions, they will not receive credit.
- If a student is enrolled in a course (prior to add/drop for the semester) and they take a CLEP exam and pass, it is their responsibility to drop the course so tuition and fees are not lost.
Acceptable Forms of ID include: Driver’s License/Permit, State ID, Passport, Passport Card, Military ID. University or School ID cards are not accepted. This is an ATI policy.

CLEP scores do not affect your GPA.
Once scores are received at the Admissions Office, they are posted within 2-3 weeks.
