ATI - Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
Pre-Admissions Exam for Nursing Pathway Administer at University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Noʻeau Test Center
The TEAS is a product of Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) and is a computerized standardized assessment of basic academic knowledge in Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English and Language usage. The outcomes assessed on the exam are those which educators deem most appropriate and relevant to measure entry-level skills and abilities of nursing and allied health applicants.
Test Information
Test guidelines:
- 170 questions
- 209 minute time limit
- Calculators are not allowed
- Scratch paper and pencils will be provided

Test Results: Scores will be available immediately. Check with your program for re-test policies and how long scores are valid.
Sending Results: You can manage your transcript credits by logging into your student account at www.atitesting.com/login and clicking the MY RESULTS tab.

CLEP
CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) provides students the opportunity to earn college credit by achieving qualifying scores through a program of exams.

Registering for a CLEP Exam
1. Register for your exam:
- Go to clep.collegeboard.org.
- As of July 1, 2024, there is a $95 registration fee. This registration is good for six months.
2. Make a UH West Oʻahu exam appointment:
- Go to registerblast.com/uhwestoahu.
- Pay the $35 proctor fee to UH West Oʻahu Cashier’s Office.
3. On your scheduled exam date, bring the following:
- Valid printed registration ticket.
- Valid government-issued physical photo ID with a signature.

Things to Note
- UH West O’ahu students may not take a CLEP exam more than once for the same exam topic during their academic career.
- Students are not allowed to take a CLEP exam in a course in which they have earned any grade except a “W”.
- Students may not take a CLEP exam in a course that they are enrolled in after the add/drop period for that semester.
- If students take a CLEP exam while in violation of any of these conditions, they will not receive credit.
- If a student is enrolled in a course (prior to add/drop for the semester) and they take a CLEP exam and pass, it is their responsibility to drop the course so tuition and fees are not lost.

Proctoring Fee: $50.00. Once exam appointments are scheduled, the UH West Oʻahu Cashier’s Office will be notified. The Cashier’s Office will email with instructions on how to make an online payment for the testing fee. Alternatively, you can visit the UH West Oʻahu Cashier’s Office to process the payment in person.
Acceptable Forms of ID include: driver’s license/permit, state ID, passport, passport card, military ID. University or school ID cards are not accepted.
Online ATI Test Fee: Credit or Debit Card ONLY (Pay at test site on the day of the exam)
