Industroyer Malware Targets Electrical Grid
By MDL on June 16, 2017
Two cybersecurity firms warn that the powerful malware known as Industroyer or Crash Override that may have taken down the Ukranian power grid in 2016 could be modified to disrupt critical infrastructure elsewhere.
The Department of Homeland Security corroborates the warnings and is conducting further investigation. DHS says it has seen no evidence suggesting that the US power grid has been compromised by Industroyer.
