Normally Britain’s cybersecurity is handled by GCHQ, but GCHQ is an intelligence entity who is not setup to share information freely with businesses. This is where the National Cyber Security Centre will play a big role. NCSC will be able to advise the private sector on cyber threats to their business. The NCSC will have relationships to both the government, businesses, and national critical infrastructure. An example of their work will include working with the Bank of England to make regulations that govern the cybersecurity of its financial sector. The NCSC will be based in London and will be fully operational by October.
