Dozens of words, arranged in a word cloud and emphasizing concepts related to libraries. Examples include learning, knowledge, resources, technology, exploration, growth, research, and more.

Today, and every day, we’re proud to support you and your information needs. National Library Week is an annual event that celebrates the role of libraries and library professionals in transforming and strengthening our communities. This year, we’re celebrating National Library Week with some activities and opportunities for you to connect with us.

Library Scavenger Hunt

Play the library’s scavenger hunt and win a gift card to 831 Cafe UHWO! Clues will drop on our Instagram stories at 10am and 2pm, so make sure you are following us. The first student to find the “treasure card” will win! Bring the card to the Circulation Desk to redeem for a prize.

Timeline: This will be offered all week, from April 8-12.

Coffee Hour & Pressed Flower Bookmarks

Have a cup of coffee or tea with us and make your own pressed flower bookmark. Join us in the lobby for good conversation and a good time 🙂

Day and Time: Tuesday, April 9 from 11am-12pm.

Library Photo Contest

Have a favorite picture of the library that you’ve taken? Do you take pictures as a hobby? Capture the magic of our library in a photo and your image might be featured on our website! The prize winner will receive a $100 Target gift card. Full details can be found here.

Deadline: Monday, April 29 at 12pm.

Annual Survey

Let us know how we’re doing by completing our annual survey*. Share your manaʻo with us and enter a prize drawing for a $50 Target gift card! The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete and can be accessed here.

*Please note that you will need to be signed into your UH account to access the survey. It will not record any details associated with your account, though.

Deadline: Monday, April 29 at 12pm.

Mahalo nui for your continuing support!
