Information Resources and Collection Management Librarian
Alphie Garcia is the Information Resources and Collection Management Librarian and serves students, staff, and faculty in his role as humanities and applied sciences liaison. You’ll often see him around campus, providing information instruction to classes, or at the reference desk helping patrons. Don’t let his resting mean face fool you; he’s quite friendly and eager to help you with your research needs. Alphie grew up in ʻEwa Beach, graduated from Aiea High School and UH Mānoa, and moved to the Bay Area for about 7 years before returning to Kapolei to start a family. In his spare time, he loves reading (especially Science Fiction, Fantasy, and graphic novels), traveling, hiking, gaming, binging on Netflix, and spending time with his wife and daughter.Education
