New Library Databases

We are excited to announce that you have access to new databases. These databases are made available as part of a 5-year (2020-2025) agreement between EBSCO and the Hawaiʻi Library Consortium (HLC). Our Library is a proud member of the HLC. The James & Abigail Campbell Library at UH West Oʻahu strives to provide the best resources to our faculty and students, within our budget. Memberships and agreements in consortiums like HLC empower us to meet your information needs.

  • Entrepreneurial Studies Source
    Entrepreneurial Studies Source is a rich collection of full-text resources for entrepreneurship and small business research. Many journals are peer-reviewed and are available with no embargo. The database also includes videos with transcripts and related articles from the Harvard Faculty Seminar Series and Vator.TV, one of the world’s largest social network sites for high-tech entrepreneurs.
  • Environment Complete
    Environment Complete is a leading full-text database for environmental studies. It provides hundreds of top environment journals and monographs covering agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, public policy, sustainability and other related subjects. It also includes millions of records and an environmental thesaurus.
  • Literary Reference Center Plus
    Literary Reference Center Plus is the definitive literary database covering all genres and timeframes. It includes thousands of full-text poems, short stories, synopses, critical essays, literary journals, reference books and author biographies, plus lesson plans and literary study guides. It gives students a complete foundation of literary reference works.
  • NoveList K-8 Plus
    NoveList K-8 Plus is a trusted source of read-alike recommendations specifically for younger readers. It helps kids find books that are just right for their reading level and interests. Parents, teachers, and librarians can also find tools to teach with books and engage young readers.
  • NoveList Plus
    NoveList Plus is a trusted source of expert read-alike recommendations, available through libraries around the world.
  • Sustainability Reference Center
    Sustainability Reference Center is a robust full-text database covering all aspects of sustainability, including environmental stewardship, corporate social responsibility and federal, state and local regulations. It includes full text journals, magazines, books and trade publications, plus expert analyses, benchmarks and best practices for sustainability initiative management.
  • Vocational Studies Complete
    Vocational Studies Complete is a database designed specifically for the research needs of two-year colleges and vocational programs. Providing thousands of full-text journals and books, plus country reports and market research reports, it covers the most relevant subjects, including biotechnology, graphic arts, criminal justice and veterinary assisting.
