The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s (UHM) Hamilton Library has significantly enriched the database resources available to the entire UH System via the judicious use of HEERF funds. Thanks to their negotiations with the ITHAKA vendor, our patrons at the University of Hawaiʻi – West Oʻahu (UHWO) have gained access to an additional 645 journals via the JSTOR platform, representing an impressive 64% increase in available journals. This newfound access ensures that students, faculty, and staff at UHWO can now conduct research in JSTOR on par with their UHM counterparts.

Hamilton Library has also utilized HEERF funds to secure access to 7,231 JSTOR e-books within the UH System, including 1,041 titles from UH Press.

To access these resources, check out our access to JSTOR or search our OneSearch platform.

Lastly, Hamilton Library successfully negotiated access to three historical newspaper collections, courtesy of library vendor ProQuest:

You can search all three directly with the links above, or simultaneously in a combined search via this link. Articles are also available in OneSearch under the Newspapers section.

These efforts by UHM’s Hamilton Library empower the UH community with invaluable resources, expanding research horizons and fostering academic excellence. We thank them for their help and are pleased to be able to share these resources with our patrons.
