Important: Library Building and Collections Will Be Closed

February 8, 2023 Carina Chernisky

Due to needed repairs to the Library’s Air Conditioning system, the Library building and our collections will soon be closed.

Starting on 2/6

  • Library collections will be closed for borrowing and requests. This is so our collections can be packed up and moved into storage. Most of our collections will be unavailable during the project duration.
  • Course Reserves and a (curated) mini library collection will remain available for use at the Circulation Desk until we transition to our temporary space in early March.
  • You can still request items from other UH Libraries and have them to UHWO for you to pick up.
  • The book drop outside of the Library will be accessible if you need to return books. (All technology items must be returned to Circulation personnel.

Starting on 3/13

  • We will have a temporary space for scanning and to check items in/out in AHS 220.
    • AHS 220 hours will be M-F 8am-5pm.
    • Course Reserve and other special items will be available for use via this space.
  • Librarians will be available for research help via chat, email, or by appointment.
    • Chat hours will remain M-F 8am-5pm
  • Contact UHWO IT if you need access to special software, like SPSS.
