Native American Heritage month, also known as American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, is observed every year in November to recognize the contributions and achievements of Native Americans. The month-long celebration presents an opportunity to increase our knowledge of the cultures, traditions, languages, history and heritage of Native Americans.
