November 16, 2020 Soledad Lencinas
Geography encompasses the study of earth’s land, biodiversity, environment, natural resources and the interactions between those components. Having an adequate knowledge of geography allows us to better understand the world we live in.
Geography Awareness Week was proclaimed in 1989 to encourage the study of geography, and it is celebrated each year during the third week of November. This year, Geography Awareness Week is observed during the week of November 16-20.
