Join a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon!
January 25, 2019 Carina Chernisky
The Library will be hosting a Wikipedia edit-a-thon on Fri, Feb 8, and is looking for volunteers to participate in this half-day event. We are working with the Honolulu Museum of Art to organize this edit-a-thon, which will increase the visibility of Hawai’i’s artists on Wikipedia. Not only will participants be contributing to something larger-than-life (Wikipedia is utilized by millions of people around the globe!), but they’d also be practicing concise and objective writing. No prior Wikipedia editing experience is necessary, as participants will be trained during the event.
UHWO student participants will be entered into a random prize drawing for one of two $25 gift cards. Community members are also welcome to participate!
