How do I add a document title in Word?

For Word 2015 (Mac)

  1. Go to File > Properties…
  2. Click on the Summary tab.
  3. In the Title field, specify a title.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Save the file

For Word 2013 / 2010 (Windows)

  1. Go to File > Info
  2. On the right side under Properties, click on the field next to Title.
  3. Specify a title.
  4. Save the file.
