Students can learn what documents to bring, which clothes to wear, and what to say during two prep sessions next week for the upcoming Career & Internship Fair.
UH West Oʻahu Career Services is presenting the “Prepare for the Fair” workshops from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, and from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, in the Nāulu Center Conference Room. The sessions will explore what documents (resumes and cover letters) to bring, how to dress to leave the right impression, and how to deliver a strong introduction.
The workshops are being held to help students get ready for the Career & Internship Fair which is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, in C-208. More than 30 companies, firms, and organizations will have tables at the event as they offer internships/practicums, part- and full-time employment, and volunteer work. Organizations that have signed up range from Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, to Bank of Hawaiʻi and the Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance Foundation, to Kamehameha Schools and YMCA of Honolulu.
The Career & Internship Fair is designed to help students looking for a job, internship or career-related experience. As an added incentive, students who attend have a chance to win door prizes. Students can register here, while organizations can register for a table here.
