Intramural Sports sets Spring 2019 schedule of Free Play, basketball and dodgeball league play

UH West Oʻahu Intramural Sports has released its schedule for the Spring 2019 semester that includes its popular Free Play days on the Great Lawn, and opportunity to play in basketball and dodgeball leagues.

More activities may be added as the semester begins and progresses, so students are advised to check with Intramural Sports at the Pueo Fitness Center located in C-135, or watch the department’s webpage and Twitter and Facebook posts.

Students desiring a break from studies or looking to get some exercise might take advantage of the Free Play days, which are planned for every Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The field will be set up with various sports equipment such as volleyball, basketball, soccer, flag football, and tennis. Free Play is scheduled for the following days, accounting for holidays and spring break:

For those who have a more competitive spirit, UH West Oʻahu participates in various leagues and tournaments, where students get the opportunity to challenge other colleges. UH West Oʻahu is participating in Leeward Community College’s basketball and indoor dodgeball leagues for Spring 2019 semester. If you are interested, don’t be afraid to send Intramural Sports an email at imwest@hawaii.edu. The dates are as follows:

  • Basketball League: Feb 6 – April 10 (excluding spring break) every Wednesday and Thursday
  • Dodgeball League: April 16, 23, and 30
