Current and prospective students, as well as community members who need help in completing their FAFSA and University of Hawaiʻi Common Scholarship applications are invited to a UH West Oʻahu Financial Aid Office workshop Wednesday.

The event will provide one-on-one help as well as scholarship application tips.  Free refreshments will be provided, as well as iPads for use during the event by applicants with a photo ID.  The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Nov. 1 in C208.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, must be completed by students wanting to apply for federal student aid. Completing and submitting the FAFSA® form is free, and gives access to the largest source of financial aid to help pay for college. Additionally, many states and colleges use FAFSA data to determine your eligibility for state and school aid.

The event will also be repeated next year, when the Financial Aid Office has scheduled a Feb. 8 workshop. Questions? Email UHWO.FinAid@hawaii.edu or call (808) 689-2900.
