Dept. of Urban and Regional Planning graduate school opportunities to be discussed Nov. 9

UH West Oʻahu’s Sustainable Community Food Systems program will host Dr. Dolores Foley of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Department of Urban and Regional Planning for a talk about her department’s graduate school opportunities.

Foley, former department chair and an associate professor, will be on the Kapolei campus to discuss the department’s graduate school opportunities. The event is scheduled for 2-3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, in D145.

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning (DURP) offers a Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Urban and Regional Planning, as well as certificates in Planning Studies and Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance.

DURP’s areas of focus includes environmental planning and sustainability. Other focus areas are land use, transportation, and infrastructure planning, international development planning, community planning, and disaster management and humanitarian assistance.
