If Mud Could Talk – Math+Science+x Seminar, Feb. 24

The Friday, Feb. 24 Math+Science+x Seminar features a presentation by Sarah Glancy about ocean sediments and what they can tell us about the climate and its changes over time. As sediment accumulates on the ocean floor, it records information about the environment in which it was formed.

The seminar, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in E133, provides students, faculty, and staff with information about past climatic events – including mass extinctions. Come and hear about the earth’s climatic past and see ocean sediments and microfossils under a microscope.
