Attend a Library Research Workshop – designed to teach students how to find appropriate, reliable sources using databases and web sources for their research papers – hosted by UH West Oʻahu librarians on Wednesday afternoons in March. Workshops are primarily for students, but are also open to faculty, lecturers, and staff. They are held in the UHWO Library Computer Lab (second floor) at 2 p.m.

March 1: Finding Statistical Information

Learn how to use statistical databases to find relevant data for your research projects and presentations.

March 8: Google Fu

Tired of your humdrum Google searches? this workshop explores tips and tricks to Google’s lesser known search tools.

March 15: Hawaiʻi/Pacific Research

Discover resources available in the UHWO Library collection, the internet, and ‘Ulu’ulu, Hawaiʻi’s official state archive for moving images.

March 22: Fake News 

Fake news affects the integrity of academic research papers. Learn how to develop analytical skills to rule out fake news.
