Kaulani Mahina (the Hawaiian Lunar Calendar) has helped to keep humans and nature in harmony for centuries. Tom Pena from Ho Mai Kapono presents the Kaulana Mahina Concept: Hawaiian Lunar Calendar. Over the course of consecutive Fridays in September, faculty, staff, and students are invited to the Math+Science+x Seminar sponsored by the UH West Oʻahu Math and Science departments.

Pena will introduce the concept of the Hawaiian Lunar Calendar on Sept. 2, and how the calendar is used on Sept. 9. Both sessions run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., in E243.
