Former UH President Albert Simone visits UH West Oʻahu

Former University of Hawaiʻi President and UH Mānoa Chancellor Albert Simone and his wife, Carolie, and former University of Hawaiʻi Regent Bobby Fujimoto were welcomed to the UH West Oʻahu campus with a traditional E Welina (welcoming ceremony) and Oli Aloha by UH West Oʻahu faculty and staff on Dec. 10 at the Hale Kuahuokalā. It was Dr. Simone’s first visit to the Kapolei campus where he met with UH West Oʻahu senior administrators and the Associated Students of UH West Oʻahu student leaders. Dr. Simone will be the keynote speaker at the UH West Oʻahu Fall 2015 Commencement happening on Saturday, Dec. 12. He will host a talk story session with UHWO students, faculty and staff on Monday, Dec. 14 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the UH West Oʻahu Library ʻUluʻulu Archive Exhibition Space.
