Honoring UH West O’ahu Veteran graduates

A red, white, and blue braided cord.

The University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Veterans Empowered Through Stem (V.E.T.S.), in partnership with the UH West Oʻahu Alumni Association, is offering free honor cords for UH West Oʻahu student veterans graduating this semester.

“We understand that many of you are disappointed that commencement has been rescheduled, and some of you might not be able to attend the next commencement to celebrate all your hard work and dedication the last four years,” V.E.T.S Program Assistant Director Chantal Dewall said in a message to UH West Oʻahu student veterans.

“Regardless of your participation in commencement, you are owed a big congratulations for your accomplishments,” Dewall said.

If you are interested in obtaining a veteran cord, please contact Dewall at cnewell@hawaii.edu to coordinate pickup, keeping in mind to adhere to social distancing practices. Pickup can be arranged outside the gate of E-building as it is currently closed.
