Request Lamakū Sandboxes

A heart is drawn in beach sand.

UH faculty and staff are encouraged to explore our new Learning Management System (LMS), Lamakū, powered by D2L Brightspace. In the sandbox environment, you can get familiar with the Lamakū user interface and practice building content. Content built in a Lamakū sandbox site may later be copied to an active course shell in Lamakū.

These Lamakū sandbox sites are blank slates and do not include migrated course content from Laulima. Request access by completing the Lamakū Early Access and Sandbox Environment Request Form. Laulima users can request up to five Lamakū sandbox sites. Note that a Lamakū sandbox is connected to a campus. Instructors who teach at multiple UH campuses will complete a separate request form for each campus.

UH West Oʻahu is in Cohort 2 of the Lamakū LMS implementation. Units in Cohort 2 will migrate course content in Spring 2025. The implementation goal is to have all UH courses taught using Lamakū in Fall 2025. See the Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 schedule for details.
