Google Gemini and AI Essentials

Adding artificial intelligence (AI) apps to your workflow can save time and improve productivity. Start by getting basic training and selecting vetted tools. UH ITS recently released a Google AI Essentials course to the University of Hawaiʻi community. The self-paced online course introduces generative AI tools to bring greater efficiency and creativity to your projects and can be completed in under 10 hours. 

Gemini, Google’s AI chatbot, is now available in the Google@UH workspace. Gemini can assist with common tasks such as gleaning online information, and generating images and copy. Find Gemini in the Google Apps menu next to your profile pic when signed into your UH Google account. Note: For users with a work or school Google Account and access to Gemini Apps, Gemini Apps Activity is on and can’t be turned off and you can’t delete your Gemini Apps activity.
