Restore Chrome browser tabs

Click the more icon to find Chrome settings and shortcuts

Have you ever prematurely closed a browser tab, only to wonder, How do I get back? When using Chrome, there are several options to reopen a closed tab or restore a multi-tab browser window:

  • To reopen your last closed tab, right-click on the tabs section. Select ‘Reopen closed tab’ (Ctrl+Shift+T).
  • To restore multiple tabs, open the settings menu/more icon (three dots to the right of your UH profile pic). Click History to reveal sets of recently closed tabs. Browsing sessions can be restored with a single click.
  • To auto-restore your last browsing session each time you restart your computer and return to the browser, go to the Chrome settings menu/more icon. Select Settings, and ‘On startup.’ Choose ‘Continue where you left off.’
