2022 UH Excellence in Teaching panelists promote icebreakers, Jamboards

The UH Online Innovation Center (UHOIC) has released a recording of their recent webinar, The 2022 UH Excellence in Teaching Faculty Panel. The presentation highlighted strategies and activities for increasing student engagement in online courses.  

Laurie James, Associate Professor of Math Education, UH West Oʻahu, shared her ideas for icebreakers (and more) in the breakout room discussion, Making Connections through Online Synchronous Interactions.  

Alyssa MacDonald, Assistant Professor of Biology, Leeward CC, conducted a Jamboard activity in her breakout session, Active Learning and communication in asynchronous courses.
