In-kind Donations

Mahalo nui for your interest in donating in-kind to the Music Program at UH West Oʻahu!

As a growing music program, we appreciate all offers that support our mission of serving our students and community with quality music instruction and music-making opportunities.

Our ability to receive certain items depends on the item’s size and its usability and relevance to our teaching. If you have any items to donate, please email Dr. Jon Magnussen (Program Contact) at jonmagnu-at-hawaii-dot-edu with a picture and description of the item.

Volunteer

Mahalo nui for your interest in volunteering for our music program!

Most volunteering opportunities arise towards the end of the semester—November/December and April/May—when our ensembles produce concerts for the community.  These concert production-related opportunities involve:

  • posting posters
  • setup and cleanup (chairs, stands, and tables)
  • ushering
  • lei-making and flower arrangements
  • video / still camera documentation
  • setup snacks for student performers

If you are interested in any of the above opportunities, or if you have comments or suggestions, please contact Dr. Jon Magnussen.
