Coffee with a Cup event

Come chat with a law enforcement officer in a relaxed setting when Coffee with a Cop returns to UH West Oʻahu.

The campus is invited to enjoy a cup of coffee while conversing with Honolulu Police Department officers on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m.-noon. Besides coffee there will be pastries and lots of conversation. The event is hosted by the Leaves of Opportunity, a registered independent student organization, and funded by the Student Activity Fee Board.

Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide community-oriented policing program that began in 2011 in Hawthorne, Calif., as a way to establish trust between communities and police departments over cups of coffee. The first event held on the UH West Oʻahu campus occurred in March 2018 as Leaves of Opportunity welcomed about a dozen police officers in the libraryʻs lobby.
