Help observe World AIDS Day on Nov. 29, learn about diabetes, substance abuse

World Aids Day Remember. Hope. Act.

The UH West O’ahu Compliance Hui is inviting everyone to the courtyard on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for several events observing:

  • World AIDS Day – Usually observed on December 1, this day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection, and mourning those who have died of the disease;
  • Diabetes or Health and Wellness – Raising awareness about type 1 diabetes; and,
  • Substance Abuse Awareness – Attempts to prevent the onset of substance use or limit the development of problems associated with using psychoactive’s substances.

Please show your support for the millions of people living with HIV worldwide, by wearing red or a red ribbon and earn 20 Pueo Points by signing in at the Compliance Hui table for your division. The UHWO Compliance Hui is a campus initiative to ensure the campus is in compliance with state and federal laws.
