Drag Queen Story Hour comes to UH West Oʻahu Saturday, Nov. 18

Drag Queen Story Hour, an event designed to promote acceptance, inclusion, and the beauty of our differences, is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the James & Abigail Campbell Library.

The event will feature queens Lolita, Water Melone, and Apple Aday and is organized by the Student National Education Association at UH West Oʻahu, a student chapter of the National Education Association that provides opportunities for education students to help them expand their knowledge of the teach profession, and socialize with other education students. The event also is sponsored by UHWO library.

Drag Queen Story Hours have taken place across the country, with drag queens reading stories to chilren in libraries and schools in New York City, Los Angeles, and elsewhere.  The UHWO event will feature stories and crafts to spark creativity. Light snacks will be provided.
