How do you help people with thoughts of suicide? safeTALK is a half day training designed to ensure that persons with thoughts of suicide are connected to helpers who are prepared to provide first aid interventions. The safeTalk training is conducted by UH West Oʻahu’s Counseling Services team and is open to students, faculty, and staff.

Sessions are on Feb. 17, Feb. 24, and March 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (including a break for lunch – not provided) in room D238. Please contact Matt Chong at UHWOtalk@hawaii.edu to reserve your seat by February 15. Light refreshments will be provided.
