Learn about preparing salves, tea, and herb scrubs with plants from the UH West Oʻahu Student Organic Garden as part of this fall’s Self-Care Workshops. Held on the first Thursday of every month this semester, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Hale Kuahuokalā in the Student Organic Garden, located between the Classroom and Laboratory Buildings on the UH West Oʻahu campus.

Oct. 6: Healing Skin Salve: Infuse oils with various herbs and use them to make a salve for cuts, burns, and dry skin.

Nov. 3: Mala Tea: Learn about the medicinal properties of herbs growing in the mala and create a custom blend to take home.

Dec. 1: Herb Scrubs: Make some of these exfoliating scrubs for yourself or to give away as gifts for the holiday season.
