UH West Oʻahu Professor of Philosophy Li-Hsiang Lisa Rosenlee was quoted in “In Defense of Hierarchy,” a journal article written by a group of 15 prominent scholars in philosophy, religion, political science and history for Aeon, a weekly London based online magazine providing commentaries on philosophy, culture and society. This is a non-academic magazine that reaches a wider circle of readership than a typical peer-reviewed academic journal. The journal article discusses the merit of hierarchy that is non-oppressive and its applicability in the modern, democratic society.
