This April, UH West Oʻahu welcomes Fulbright Scholar Paula Puskarova to discuss “Human Capital Policies in the European Union (EU): Lessons Learned and Opportunities Built.” In her presentation, Puskarova will provide insights into the recent developments in EU policies targeted at the attraction, retention, and circulation of high-skilled labor. She will discuss advancements of the EU as a whole; compare national policies of selected member states; and assess efforts at the subnational level. Puskarova will also present information about the United States’ human capital policy, and share possibilities for studying and researching in the European Union.

Paula Puskarova
Dr. Paula Puskarova is a Fulbright post-doctoral fellow at Seton Hall University. She worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Economics and Management at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia where she earned a PhD in economics. Puskarova also worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Economic Geography and Geoinformatics at Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed, international journals about European Union human capital policies.
