UH West Oʻahu walks a mile to stop gender violence

UH West Oʻahu students, faculty and staff came together for the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® men’s march to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence, on Wednesday, April 15. They participated in a walk around the UH West Oʻahu campus, many wearing women’s high-heeled shoes or decorated slippers, to demonstrate support for efforts to stop the violence. UH West Oʻahu Chancellor Rockne Freitas offered opening remarks and participated in the march. View photos of the march on the UH West Oʻahu flickr page.
