Assistant Professor of Music Jon Magnussen
From Oct. 13-25, The José Limón International Dance Festival will assemble dance companies and colleges from seven countries around the world to join the Limón Dance Company in sharing 15 of Limón’s masterworks with a wider audience at New York City’s The Joyce Theater. Included in the performances is “The Winged”, a 40-minute ballet choreographed by José Limón, with music by UH West Oʻahu’s Dr. Jon Magnussen, commissioned by The Juilliard School in 1996.
