Hoʻoulu Workshop
Explore pedagogical frameworks, creative media, resources, and tools to build engaging, technology-enhanced learning experiences. Through the workshop’s four modules, participants will redesign assignments, learn tools necessary to test and execute them, assess outcomes, and reflect on lessons learned, completing the series with a class-ready project and knowledge to further integrate technology into their pedagogy.
This professional development opportunity is offered asynchronously through Lamakū for UH faculty and staff. To enroll, fill in the ʻUpena Project Inquiry Form and you will be added to the site.
Suggested timeframe (based on a 15-week term):
- Module 1: Frameworks – Weeks 2-3
- Module 2: Creative Projects – Weeks 4-6
- Module 3: Resources & Execution – Weeks 7-11
- Module 4: Hōʻike – Weeks 12-13
Non-Lamakū Alternative
We strongly recommend interested UH faculty and staff to complete the Hoʻoulu Workshop through the updated Lamakū format. However, the discontinued slideshow presentation (last revised Fall 2025) will remain available on this page for participants that may not have access to Lamakū or would like to preview the topics of the workshop. To enlarge the presentations, click the ⋮ symbol on the tool bar on the bottom of each slideshow and select “Enter full screen”.
