Fall 2021 Convocation & Professional Development Day

Fall 2021 Professional Development/Convocation Day was held virtually on Wednesday, August 18. Chancellor Maenette Benham welcomed faculty and staff to the start of the semester, and recognized new employees, service award winners, UH Board of Regents award winners, UH West Oʻahu award winners, and those who received tenure and promotion.

Piliʻāina a ‘wonderful learning experience’ for faculty and staff

Cherished moʻolelo (stories), meaningful mele, and breathtaking views were among the highlights of Piliʻāina, a unique learning experience offered to faculty and staff who are new to the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu.

The University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Office of Distance Learning and Office of Professional Development and Academic Support (OPDAS), as well as UH West Oʻahu’s Information Technology (IT) Services Unit, are shared recipients of the Ola Ke Kaiāulu award — an award that highlights how a community thrives through the efforts of its people.
