Update, Feb. 27: The event, ‘Āina-to-‘Ōpū Workshop: Turmeric-Ginger Lemonade, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 1, has been postponed.

A popular workshop series presented by the University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu Student Organic Garden returns in person with ‘Āina-to-‘Ōpū Workshop: Turmeric-Ginger Lemonade, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at Hale Kūahuokalā in the garden.

UH West O‘ahu students, faculty, and staff are welcome to harvest and prepare turmeric and ginger from the garden, or māla, to make more of this simple, immune-boosting tonic at home.

The series features produce grown in the māla, which is located on campus adjacent to the Classroom (D) and Laboratory (E) buildings. The event is the first of a series of three ‘Āina-to-‘Ōpu workshops happening this semester.
