Imagine a rare opportunity to work in the Governor’s office, or in the office of a senator or representative at the Hawaiʻi State Legislature during the 2022 legislative session, January through May 2022.

If this interests you — and you are a dynamic, capable, and ambitious student at the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu — then consider applying for the UHWO Governmental Internship Program. The deadline to apply is Friday, Oct. 22.

Interns will be involved in an experiential learning process, which provides insight into elective politics, and the opportunity to observe first-hand the dynamics of legislative decision-making. Interns will work an average of 40 hours per week while earning academic credits to maintain full-time status.

Learn more about the program at one of the following virtual information sessions:

  • 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
